Celebrating Holidays in Style:

Holidays are magical times when homes come alive with the spirit of celebration. From Christmas and Hanukkah to Easter and Independence Day, each holiday offers endless possibilities for creative expression through décor. For many, decorating for these special occasions is a cherished tradition, a ritual of sorts that brings families together and creates lasting memories. Whether it's adorning the Christmas tree with sparkling ornaments, setting a festive table for Thanksgiving dinner, or carving pumpkins for Halloween, holiday décor allows us to immerse ourselves in the joyous moments that highlight our families traditions.

My traditions started when I was a child, I always loved the holidays and how special my Mom made it for us all. The decorating, the baking, the gatherings…all played a significant role in how I view these precious times today.

We have started many Holiday traditions over the years and as my girls grow up, those can sometimes look a little different. We have even added some new ones! Some of our favorite traditions are:

  • Driving around viewing holiday lights

  • Tanglewood Park light show on Thanksgiving or Black Friday

  • Decorating our tree while watching Christmas Movies

  • Weekly Christmas movies and of course that always includes Hallmark Movies. Some of our favorites are…Christmas with the Kranks, Christmas Vacation, Elf, The Grinch and of course A Christmas Story.

  • Christmas Eve celebrations with the family!

  • Baking Nights!

We love Halloween! My girls have had some stellar costumes and amazing makeup, they love to bring those characters to life on Old Hollows Eve! They may not go trick or treating with Mom and Dad any longer but they still love the season. The season of apple picking, smores by the fire, pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving and of course scary movies. Fall kicks off the best time of the year where families come together and make memories whether your children are still little or have grown up.

Thanks for being here, I cannot wait to share with you holiday decor ideas and recipes to make your holidays just a little bit more magical!
