Here she is! My whimsical/traditional Christmas tree that my husband has officially named the "Cat in the Hat" tree...I will take it, that is a family favorite movie of ours. I had so much fun with this tree and it all started with the selection of the ribbon. I went with this gorgeous jewel edged Harlequin ribbon that is a total showstopper and incredible quality. I have always loved a traditional red and green Christmas tree, I have vivid memories of my Mom always making the holidays so special for us as kids and it was always with all the traditional colors. My kids love the red and green, that means Christmas to them so that's what I stick with all the time. This was the first year I have used oversized ornaments and I am in love! Oversized ornaments are unexpected, whimsical and create so much interest in a Christmas tree. My wish list has every single item I used in my tree and you can shop my wish list here: https://decoratorswarehouse.com/wishlist.php?publicwishlist=d68789ec-4a90-48bd-b10a-b9dd6e58ba1d&aff=23
I started my design with the topper, I chose the Sugar Frosted Drop Ornament and attached it at an angle using floral wire. Above that I used 6 of the Snow Cone Berry Spray's for some additional interest and I love how it turned out. After I secured my topper I began weaving the ribbon, I did alternating lengths of ribbon vertically down the tree and secured it by looping it in and out of the tree with floral wire.
Once the ribbon was secured, I placed all of the oversized ornaments first including the drops, lanterns and bells. Then I started filling in all the spaces with the medium sized ornaments, the smaller ornaments and finally I added the remainder of the berry spray's.
I had so much fun putting together items from the Decorator's Warehouse website. Did you know they have put together their most popular tree bundles for you? You don't have to do the guesswork, they have figured it all out for you. So amazing!!! Shop the tree bundles here https://decoratorswarehouse.com/christmas-tree-bundles/?aff=23
