Why LVP?

If I had a $1 for every time I heard the question "Why did you choose LVP for your custom home?" Well, I'd have many dollars!! LVP stands for Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring, it sure has changed over the years so I promise you that what comes to mind is NOT what it actually is. LVP has come a LONG way from it's humble beginnings. Many homes, even higher end homes are making the choice for LVP.

Ok, so what exactly is LVP?

LVP, also known as Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring, is durable, affordable, and a lovely option instead of hardwood flooring. It's used in both residential and commercial applications, and mimics the look, texture, and warmth of real wood.

Who should consider LVP?

Do you have kids, pets or how about a pool? Then LVP is for you! These are the 3 reasons we chose to go with this type of flooring, with it's waterproof properties it makes kid spills, pet accidents and water coming in from our pool super easy to clean up. Cleaning is a snap and you do not need anything special to maintain and shine up your floors. Below I will link the spin mop I use and the Bona Floor Cleaner that I use.

What brand did you go with?

We went with Provenza Uptown Chic line in color double dare, at the time of building (2019) there weren't nearly as many options for LVP as it was just becoming popular. We based our decision on reviews and ordered some samples, it is always a good idea to get your hands on samples to test colors in different spots in your home.
